Doug Brown is a senior associate attorney with Mason & Thomas. He came to Mason & Thomas in 1985 from the State of California, Department of Transportation (Cal Trans) where he began his legal career after graduating from Boalt Hall School of Law. At the Department of Transportation offices in both Sacramento and San Diego, Mr. Brown specialized in civil jury trials in the defense of personal injury cases involving alleged dangerous conditions of public property, defense of inverse condemnation, and the prosecution of condemnation cases. Since joining Mason & Thomas, Mr. Brown continues to perform as a full-time civil jury trial litigator with an emphasis in the defense of public entities in personal injury and inverse condemnation cases and in the field of insurance defense involving vehicle operation, premises liability, and general negligence. He has taken over 50 cases to jury verdict and has argued several cases before the California Appellate Courts. Mr. Brown has served as a Judge Pro Tem in Sacramento and El Dorado Counties. He is a member of the Association of Defense Counsel, Northern California.
